Black Tuesday.

When it comes to getting dressed in the morning, which is usually me throwing on pants and a sweater, there is one color that I always gravitate toward: Black. As far as I'm concerned, I could wear black pants, a black top and black boots everyday of the week. I'm sure this makes me more of an outcast for LA and more of a New Yorker at heart, but it is what it is. I just love black clothes. As far as color blocking and neon/pastel trends go for this spring, I'll maybe give them a shot in a couple months. But until it starts getting warmer here (high in the 50s today!?) I'll stick with black.

Oscars 2012 Fashion Recap

Who tuned in to the Oscars last night? What are everyone's thoughts? I thought the red carpet definitely turned out way better looks than all of the other awards shows. And come on, that Ryan Seacrest moment was fucking hysterical. The show itself was so-so. I laughed out loud at maybe one of Billy Crystal's jokes. But I was also pretty hammered by that point, so it's up in the air as to whether that joke was actually funny or not.

But let's talk fashion because that's all that really matters. Michelle Williams KILLED it in Louis Vuitton. I mean, Killed. It. I was obsessed with everything from the color to the peplum to the little bow to the pink lip and pink clutch. She looked freaking amazing. My second place winner was Ellie Kemper. She looked the best I've ever seen her. That Armani Prive dress was the perfect complement to her gorgeous red hair. Check below for my Best and Worst Dressed List.

BEST

Michelle Williams. BY FAR the best of the night. Just, flawless.

Ellie Kemper. Love, Love, Love. Love the bangs, love the jewelry, love the dress.

Tina Fey. I REALLY wish she would wear a bright color, but I have to admit I love this shape on her. She looked great last night. Am I little obsessed with peplums? (Yes.)

Maya Rudolph. The funny ladies were seriously turning it out last night. This was the best I've ever seen Maya. This dress was perfect for her body shape. She looked amazing and I LOVE the back of this dress.

Gwenyth Paltrow. Clean and classic. Other than her annoying loose ponytail, I thought this look was gorge.

WORST

J.Lo. Really? We've seen you in this look every year since 1997.

Emma Stone. It makes me so sad to put her on my worst dressed list. But everything about this all the way down to the make-up was a disappointment. I still love her, and she was so funny as a presenter, but yuck to this look.

Shailene Woodley. Seriously, who is her stylist? From that god awful Hawaiian print she wore at the Globes to this futuristic monstrosity. I'd feel bad for her if I didn't find her so annoying.

Giuliana Rancic. Yikes, can you say Ice Capades? She looks ridiculous per usual.

Kelly Osbourne. Wait, why do I even watch Fashion Police? It is obvious these are the last people we should be taking fashion advice from. And we all know Joan Rivers hasn't looked attractive since 1947. I think George Kotsiopoulos should just run the whole show.

Almost Friday.

I've been awful at posting this week. This one is no better. Tomorrow I'll really try, I swear. Basically I'm just dreading this weekend since I'll have my sister in town and her husband. Entertaining them will be a nightmare (Is that mean to say? Probably). Plus, they most likely won't be happy when I'm glued to the TV for the Oscars on Sunday. Whatever.

Exhausted.

I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. After a fun weekend, I'm suffering majorly today. I can barely form complete sentences, so this post is short as shit. I'll do a better one tomorrow.

For some reason I'm craving summer today. What I hate is that the weather is like summer all year here, so I don't know why I'm looking forward to it so much. It just sounds amazing to be tan, I'm over of being pale. I wish we could fast forward to May.

Goodbye NYFW. See you in September.

Alas, NYFW is finally over. The week of torturous runway pics, street style pics, tweets and all-around inundation of fashion week coverage by everyone who matters, it has finally ended. Thank god. If I can't be there, I don't see why everyone else gets to. JK. Or am I? Who really knows. But per usual, I found myself caring much, much more about what people wore to the shows rather than what clothes were worn on the runway. Below I've compiled a group of some of my favorite NYFW FW12 Street Style looks. Enjoy.
